Children and Communion
At our last meeting the SJB Committee considered a request to consider the participation of children in Communion.
Phil has prepared a letter outlining the proposal and this is available to everyone this week in church and can be sent to you by email or delivered by hand.
Phil will be talking about this at our services on March 2 and there will be plenty of time for responses. We will consider the next steps at our SJB meeting in March.
Our Churchwardens and Phil are very happy to talk to anyone about this, whether they are concerned, enthusiastic, or not sure what to think.

2 young people from the congregation at St John the Baptist are running the London 2025 Marathon, raising money for Children with Cancer.

Both Joshua and Elizabeth Rysdale would like to make you aware of something that is truly special and significant within the Rysdale family.

We are looking for your support to help raise money for Children with Cancer. At the age of 1, Elizabeth was diagnosed with cancer. But thanks to the amazing support and dedication from doctors, nurses and a charity known as Children with Cancer she is still alive and health today.

Seeing their dedication, hard work and results has motivated us to compete in various events to raise as much money as possible for such an amazing and important charity. This year we have been given a special opportunity to run in the London 2025 marathon alongside for the charity that saved her life, Children with Cancer. To do this historic event together will be a special memory for both of us.

There are still many children today that are still fighting to beat this disease but need your help in doing so. Your donation will go towards vital research, medication and treatments so that the charity can create many more success stories like Elizabeth’s.
Please donate on the below link and help be part in saving many precious lives.

Many Thanks
Joshua and Elizabeth Rysdale

Unfortunelty, The North Steps entrance is temporarily closed due to subsidence under the steps. Please enter St John the Baptist, Stone via the Bishopstone Road or Church Way entrances.

Here at St John the Baptist, Stone,
We have always welcomed dog walkers to enjoy our beautiful churchyard.

However, Recently there have been several incidents where our grounds have been damaged by dogs that have been left to freely roam and a lot of dog mess has been left behind which our gardening volunteers have had to deal with.

In light of this, we have had to make the decision to designate our churchyard as a dog on leads only area. We did not want to make this decision as we would love to keep the churchyard as a safe place for dogs to play, but the actions of a few have caused this to be necessary. We hope to be able to reverse this decision if things improve.
