ADVENT WREATH PRAYERS
This is our Advent Wreath.
Why is it round?
Its roundness reminds us of God’s love that goes on forever.
Why is it green?
The evergreen leaves remind us that new life will come.
Why do we have candles?
The candles remind us of Christ’s light coming into the world.
Today we light one candle.
We name this candle Hope.
We look forward to Jesus coming.
Lord Jesus, Light of the world,
born in David’s city of Bethlehem,
born like him to be a king:
Be born in our hearts this Christmastide,
be king of our lives today.

POSADA
At our Service TODAY, we shall be giving out the figures of Mary and Joseph, who will be passed around homes as part of our preparation for welcoming them at Christmas. They will be brought into Church at the 4.00pm Service on Christmas Eve at Stone Church, and placed in our Nativity Scene. If you would like to take part in the Posada this year and host “Mary and Joseph”, please speak to, or contact Jenny Pickup today (748170)

CHRISTMAS MARKET – STONE PAVILION - 12TH DECEMBER
11.00 – 1.00pm.
We have decided to focus on selling items that are suitable as gifts for Christmas on the CHURCH STALL. If you have (or can make) craft products, or can bake cakes or Christmas biscuits or similar, please contact Jenny Pickup 748170. Proceeds are for general Church funds. There is a box by the font at Stone Church to take any items which are donated. Thank you.

ARCHDEACON KAREN GORHAM
We congratulate Karen on her new appointment as Bishop of Sherborne in the Diocese of Salisbury. She will be consecrated at Westminster Abbey on 24th February.
